The City has had red-light traffic cameras at select intersections for a number of years. Installed due to safety concerns at high-volume instersections (example: Littleton High School students crossing at Broadway and Littleton Blvd.), the red-light cameras will snap a photo of the driver, vehicle postion and license plate of a vehicle that runs a red light. The photos are reviewed by an officer and if deemed a violation, a ticket is issued.
The City is currently reviewing the continued use of red-light cameras and curious about our residents' thoughts of the cameras. Do you support, oppose, or are you neutral on their use and why?
Outcome: The contract for Red Light Cameras will not be renewed going forward
