Why is retail so important to Littleton and why you should “shop local”?
When you shop in Littleton, 3% of the 7.25% you pay in sales tax is paid to the city. Sales tax is 53% of the total tax revenue collected by the city’s general fund and that’s what pays for services. Most local business owners and their employees spend their money in Littleton and when you buy from local businesses you’re helping to sustain and grow revenues and create local employment opportunities.
