These questions did not completely consider the issues of fire hazard, ugliness of existing weeds and landscaping, upkeep issues and loitering. I believe that upgrading the park is a significant town enhancement opportunity. It is one of the largest parks around, but little is done to maintain or beautify the park. Improvements including trees, shrubs, grass, and access would be welcome. Also, there is drainage and fire hazard issues. Erosion is occurring on the Dry Creek Court side of the southern side of the park and the lack of maintenance of weeds and natural grass represents a significant fire risk. Lastly, it would be nice if the park formerly connected to the highline canal trail. The crossing at Jackass Hill Drive/Prince is dangerous as most cars speed up and through the crosswalk.
