The City of Littleton is seeking feedback on the Food and Vendor Truck Registration Pilot Program.
Food and Vendor Truck – Registration Pilot Program
With the popularity of food and vendor trucks, the City of Littleton is introducing a pilot program to provide information and facilitate registration and management of these businesses. There is no fee for food or vendor trucks to register for the program. This will assist the city in making sure food and vendor trucks operate safely within the city, are in good standing in terms of health and fire codes, and pay their share of retail sales tax as all retail businesses within the Littleton city limits are required to do.
Beginning November 15, 2019, all food and vendor truck owners must file a new application with the City of Littleton, regardless of previous registrations. This application is required in addition to a City of Littleton business or special event license.
Food truck owners will be responsible for resubmitting an application annually. Renewals are due by January 31 each year. Registrations received November 15 through December 31, 2019 will not require a new registration until January 31, 2021.
For details, please read the Food & Vendor Truck Program Guidelines [PDF]. The city welcomes feedback from vendors, business and property owners, and citizens.
The City of Littleton considers any readily movable, wheeled, motorized vehicle, and any non-motorized structure towed by a motorized vehicle, and equipped to serve food, beverages, or other goods and services a Food/Vendor Truck. Food/Vendor Trucks may operate within city limits under two conditions: as an accessory use or as part of a special event. A Food/Vendor Truck, trailer, or mobile food vendor using public parking, public streets, or other municipal property is not allowed unless permitted in association with a Special Event. Before reviewing these guidelines, please use the city's Address Wizard to verify you are operating within city limits.
